Tafsiri – the African Journal of Translation and Interpreting is a multidisciplinary peer-reviewed journal to be published twice a year by Metaglossia. Tafsiri is dedicated to relevant issues in the areas of translation and interpreting with particular focus on African perpectives.
Tafsiri will cover all areas of translation and interpreting. The journal welcomes the submission of manuscripts that meet the general criteria of significance and scientific excellence, and will publish:
- Original articles in theoretical and applied research;
- Case studies;
- Critical reviews, surveys, opinions.
We invite you to submit your manuscript(s) for publication in the maiden issue.
Our objective is to inform authors of the decision on their manuscript(s) within four weeks of submission. Following acceptance, a paper will normally be published in the next issue.
Tafsiri is an open-access journal, which aims to give a worldwide audience larger than that of any subscription-based journal and thus increases the visibility and impact of published works. Tafsiri is fully committed to the open access initiative and will provide free access to all articles as soon as they are published. It also enhances indexing, retrieval power and eliminates the need for permissions to reproduce and distribute content. This is definitely a great opportunity within the context of Africa.
